Rain and the Slow Internet

It had been raining all morning and even Puan Anita called to say that it was wet in Gombak and she had a nice nap after sending the boys to school. Lucky her. As it was today, on a slow Wednesday morning, I would go the apartment after having a quick breakfast in Bangsar. It was chucking down there and I was held up at the restaurant for a good half an hour. Not that I was complaining.

After the rain subsided, I drove to the apartment, and soon after, it started to rain again. And another thing I noticed. I heard that in the US, the FBI was implementing some feature to block Internet to sites known to harbor pirated documents and files. My internet had been damn slow all morning. Not sure if that had anything to do with what was happening in the States, but I was using the Time fiber connection. The usual speed was around 24 Gb. And it was sluggish.

Hopefully it was just a glitch. Time to get ready for the afternoon clinic soon, but it would have been nice to be able to takes nap before that ...... No chance.

Proper Breakfast

So, I was on call again today. But since today was Wednesday, and I do not have a morning clinic, I spent the morning going through my paperwork, doing some finance stuff at the bank and most importantly, some proper breakfast. So, Chawan was the destination again.

Almost 1 pm, and it was time to get back to the hospital preparing for the afternoon clinic. Still there were no calls so far. That could be bad news as the admission will start to come in after office hours. And I hated that. Hopefully, being mid week, things would be quiet. I will be on call again on Sunday, as well as attending a talk on the Saturday.

Happy Monday Morning

After a couple of weeks hiatus, I was able to get some breakfast this morning in Bangsar after my morning rounds. it was one of the perks of not having a morning clinic on Mondays, something I built into my weekly routine. I also learned that one of my colleague was admitted yesterday, and I would be doing his call tomorrow. It fits nicely as I would be asking him to cover one of my calls during Ramadhan.

Had a nice breakfast at Chawan, followed by a quick shopping for groceries at Village Grocers - since I would be staying at the apartment tomorrow evening. I just realised then that the lady in front of my queue had tons of stuff on the till. The bill? RM 2050! My God! That was prop groceries shopping! Have a good Monday all.

Sleepy Morning

I pressed on with starting my rounds early and left home almost after getting Idlan settled in after the trip to Casualty. After the rounds were done, I dropped by my favorite haunt in Bangsar for an early lunch.

Anita said that Idlan was sleeping at home. No more coughing. The antihistamine certainly helped. The swelling on the face was much better as well.

After lunch, I'll probably spend a couple of hours at the apartment doing some reading before the afternoon clinic. Hopefully, Idlan would be back to his usual self by the evening when I reach home.

Me Monday Morning

It had been a hectic weekend, and after sorting out the patients this morning, I had a few hours on my own, interrupted by flurry of phone calls of course.

The apartment needed cleaning as well. And so does the groceries needed topping up. So, morning coffee at Chawan, followed by a trip to the supermarket. My recipe for a nice Monday morning.

Clinic to follow suit later in the afternoon, and if I can muster the energy, there would be a dinner talk going on at Hilton. Very likely I'd give that a miss. Let's see how the afternoon pans out.
