A Nice Stroll

Sunday afternoon and I had myself some free time on my hands. The boys would be having exams tomorrow, so Anita would be occupied and I decided to get some errands done, pay my credit card bills and all.

But the weather was so warm, and I decided to hang around a bit at the mall looking at any good offers. Sure enough there were some mattress that Anita and I had been looking at going for 50% discount. That worked out well.

Surprisingly there were still plenty of stock. No discounts offered, so no business. Anita wouldn't mind one I was sure. As for me, I still prefer my Nexus.

Two cups of creamy iced coffee later, it was time to head home. I was supposed to stop by Bangsar Village but Sunday afternoons were never a good time to stop there with the pasar malam going on. Best to give that a miss. A quiet evening looking like.

Monday Morning Walk

On Monday morning after my post call round, I drove into town to settle some bills. Usually I have clinic at Park City on Monday morning. This was canceled because of Sunday's call. After the bills were settled, I decided to drive into the City Center to see how things were on Monday morning. I ended up having lunch at Pavilion since I could settle my phone bills there.

I had lunch and walked around to a nearby UOB branch to settle my credit card payment for the month. And all this without needing to rush. Amazing how slow-paced late Monday mornings can be. Would definitely venture again the next time my clinic got canceled in Park City. Or I should cancel it at least once a month...

I certainly wouldn't mind doing it again...

Jonker with Anita

We tucked the boys at their Grandparents' room and had a quick escape to Jonker Street after lunch. Hopped onto a beca and within seconds literally, the heaven opened without mercy. Anita was soaked by the time the covers were up.

We were dropped near the entrance of Jonker Street and I quickly bought an umbrella. So, off we went.

It didn't take long before we got our hands full with all the shopping. Things were so much cheaper here compared to KL. We got tit bits for Irfan's party pack, and some lighting for the apartment.

Welcoming bistro, but it was raining and we were in a bit of a rushTaking shelter while it poured down ...Colourful!We couldn't hang around for too long though since the boys were at the hotel and we had plans for dinner. Anita was convinced to return to shop here in the future as we only managed only a single street and we haven't sampled any of the cafe yet.

Some excuse to return...

Past Midnight

All afternoon I was feeling sleepy. Luckily the clinic was pretty light and I had only a couple of patients to see in Day Care, plus a procedure. Once that was done, I was ready to call it the day.

The walk on Saturday plus the day of driving and rushing on Sunday was taking its toll I guessed. I decided to take a nap as soon as I reached home. But the next thing I knew, it was close to 10 pm. I haven't showered yet, not had dinner.

So, it was past is night now, and I just couldn't sleep. Damn! I'm stuck now. Time for more blog entries I guessed.

Walking around Pavilion

It had been a while since I did a photo walk, be it solo or in a group. I had some free time this afternoon, but due to drizzle outside, the photo walk ended up mostly indoors.

All the malls were packed with Chinese New Year shoppers, and taking a camera out at this time was not ideal. But the decorations were well worth the hassle. Anticipating heavy traffic around Bukit Bintang, I decided to lark the car at KLCC and took the walk across to Pavilion.

The main foyer at Suria KLCCPavilion. This was more like it .....

The decorations at Suria KLCC were rather subdued and predictable. A lost opportunity really considering the number of foreign visitors coming to the place. Not many snaps were taken there and I swiftly made my way across to Pavilion via the pedestrian walkway.

The scene there was different, and I arrived just before the scheduled lion dance show at 3pm. The crowd was too packed, and decided to walk further down towards Fahrenheit, Sungai Wang and finally, Low Yat Plaza.

At Fahrenheit 88It started to drizzleLion dance in front of Lot 10

After a spot of browsing, I doubled back to Pavilion, taking the time - as the main foyer where the lion dance show took place were empty - to snap more frames.

Back to Suria next, and then across to Avenue K at the Leica Store. I thought that there was an exhibition going on there, but I got the venue mixed up. Oh well, I caught up with an old friend there instead, and looking at one of the photographers there setting up a mini-studio to try out the Leica S medium format system. An RM100k outfit that I could never afford! That camera was pumping out 37MP files from its sensor. Mind boggling!

It was time for tea after I left, and I took out dinner for my boys back at Suria. A long day indeed ...
